Eyes Of Eleven

It's been a hectic four months for our new frontman Tony Thurlow who keeps going from strength to strength. From the very beginning he was aware that Eleven in Stoke-On-Trent was one that the band consider to be a premier gig and in preparation the guys had been back to Silver Lining Studios in Denton to lay down some new tracks to give the amazing crowd that attend some new material.

The tracks chosen were the much requested "Eyes Of The World", "The Shed", "No Time To Lose" and "Lady Of The Lake". It was a cold night but yet again another terrific turnout was on hand, load in and soundcheck ran smoothly as usual. Paul and June the owners of this cracking venture made sure everything was prepared well in advance and the guys were ready to hit the stage for an early start of 8:15. The early start was to allow for a longer set and hopefully didn't catch too many people out.

Set List

Kill The King

16th Century Greensleeves

Man On The Silver Mountain (Including Blues)

I Surrender

Love’s No Friend

Lady Of The Lake

Gates Of Babylon

The Shed

Catch The Rainbow

Eyes Of The World

No Time To Lose

Tarot Woman

Starstruck

Do You Close Your Eyes

Stargazer

Since You’ve Been Gone

All Night Long

Long Live Rock ‘N’ Roll

Smoke On The Water (With Oz Fisher Of Pure Purple)

The whole set went really well with the new tracks very well received - one guy told me he had seen Rainbow dozens of times but never known them play "The Shed" - i told him to the best of my knowledge they never played it live. Icing on the cake had to be the spotting of Oz Fisher in the crowd and him being hauled up on stage for a final encore of "Smoke On The Water". Once again Eleven delivered and so did the guys and the good thing is we get to do it all again next year (twice)!!
