Wayne Battles Through

The Deep Purple Family Tree paid Nottingham a visit last night at The Rescue Rooms and despite Wayne suffering illness in the week that was badly affecting his vocals he managed to haul himself through the pre determined setlist without having to change any of the tracks or running order and because of his proffessionalism put in a solid shift. The Rescue Rooms operate a 10pm curfew so the doors opened to the public early at 6:30pm with Rainbow Rising opening the show coming on at 6:50pm. With the band still on a high after a show stopping performance in front of a huge audience at The Rock And Bike Festival they continued with yet another solid set full of Rainbow classics including Kill The King, Catch The Rainbow and Stargazer. The only downside was that due to time restraints they had to cut the show short and drop one of the fans favourites and closing track "Since You've Been Gone".

Next up is The Witchwood in Ashton - Under - Lyne and Whittles in Oldham on 12th and 19th August respectively. These will see a return to a full 2 hour plus show and the way the guys are perfoming they are not to be missed.
