NEXT UP - BARRY SAYS FAREWELL

On February 15th the band return to The Diamond in Sutton-On-Ashfield for what will be an emotional night. Our "Man In Black" Mr Barry Sharples has announced his retirement after 15 years of reproducing to the highest standard the sounds of one of the worlds finest guitarists Ritchie Blackmore. Barry chose The Diamond as it is pretty much the spiritual home of the band so we once again hope to see filled with as many people as possible to wish him the farewell he richly deserves. Barry will be sorely missed by everyone but every cloud has a silver lining and Rainbow Rising are very happy to have the immensely talented Neil Priddey stepping in to fill the enormous gap left by Barry. Barry will happily accept farewell gifts and will need plenty of pipes and pairs of slippers.

WELCOME NEIL PRIDDEY

After 15 years our very own Man In Black is calling it a day. It was not an easy decision for Barry to make but he has been toying with the idea for a couple of years now so it hasn't come as a huge surprise. To say he will be missed by his bandmates and the hoards of friends he has made along the way would be an understatement and one thing is for sure he has recreated the sounds of Ritchie Blackmore to perfection. We are very fortunate to have sourced a replacement in Neil Priddey who has depped several times in the past and has proved himself more than capable and will be a great addition to the band so our sincere thanks go to Neil and his very tolerant wife Lisa.

BANGED TO RIGHTS

Rainbow Rising are delighted to announce that Bang2RightZ will be joining us for at least two of our gigs this year and hopefully a third.
